Job Description & Summary
A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You’ll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC’s brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.
Our Brand Management team leads external brand strategy development and implementation across multiple business units, media, social and digital channels. As part of the team, you’ll be involved with driving marketing programmes, branding events, corporate leadership seminars, public relations and business marketing forums.
As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
Train and lead staff
Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Business Marketing Manager and will provide support in
the areas of client-facing events, internal and external communications, market research, mailing list co-
ordination, database management and other market-positioning activities.
Candidates for the position must work well in a team setting, have the ability to be flexible,
function in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
Key player in the execution of industry, line of service or networks marketing plans.
Understands and participates in project planning, administration and budgeting.
Provides input into specific components of work/project plans (eg, resources, budget, execution).
Contributor to the planning of all aspects of event management logistics, including critical path
development, invitation development and distribution, registration management, seating plans,
event team liaison, list management/creation, presentation development, ROI metrics, and other
related support as needed.
Understands and supports the connection of marketing efforts (advertising, events, sponsorship,
print materials, etc.) and the tracking of ROI across media.
Reviews and edits marketing materials to ensure content produced is of high quality, with
consistent use of PwC guidelines.
Responsible for the deployment of email campaigns using the Firm’s campaign management tool.
Fully understands PwC brand standards and compliance guidelines.
Supports the public relations team to develop timely and integrated media campaigns
Writes content for a variety of external communications, newsletters, online and print advertising
including full ownership of the development of event invitations and select internal
Collaborates with the Design team to develop marketing collateral such as thought leadership,
event invitations and promotional materials.
Collaborates with the Digital marketing team to maintain and update the PwC Canada website
Posts resources to the internal portal and a variety of databases to enhance knowledge sharing
with PwC practitioners.
Manages the risk, independence and branding guidelines processes for all potential
Process and track the payment of invoices to ensure vendor payments meet all deadlines.
Contributes to the development and execution of social media campaigns using resources such
as LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Provides recommendations as needed.
Collects all metrics and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns and external events
to the necessary stakeholders.
Works with Business Marketing Managers and the research team to conduct ongoing competitive
intelligence and external market research.
Contributor to the creation and deployment of client surveys through various software applications
Collaborates with the Business on building client and prospect lists. Manages the client lists for
mailing and other market-facing activities using contact management system and Microsoft Excel.
Research, source and place orders for promotional merchandise.
Ownership of assigned adhoc projects, as directed by the Business Marketing Manager.
Relevant Undergraduate degree or diploma.
Minimum three years progressive marketing experience.
The position will suit a detail-oriented self-starter who can work well within a local and national
team, and excel in a fast-paced, corporate environment, while still effectively managing multiple
priorities to deadline
Experience in managing a budget in support of marketing and event plans
Experienced in the procurement and management of external suppliers of support services
