We are looking for a talented recruiter to join our team; someone who generates and maintains an active candidate pipeline to fill IT positions. This includes sourcing candidates from a various recruitment channels, proactive outreach, generating referrals as well as managing the expectations of hiring managers.

Create authentic and tailored content (e.g., storifying) to re-envision Humber's IT brand.
Facilitate new, industry-leading approaches for candidate engagement, including but not limited to video interviews, one-on-one messaging through apps and platforms, etc.
Drive focused searches for IT talent (passive and active) through a variety of channels, including internal RMS, external job boards and venues, online channels (e.g. social networks and professional networks), niche IT sites, networking sites, technical schools and campus recruiting, etc.
Provide expertise in, and source candidates using a range of inbound and outbound recruitment methods using tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed to name a few.
Evaluate qualifications of applicants across multiple IT verticals.
Provide support to hiring ITS managers by developing hiring scenarios, screening, selecting; assist in the design of improved communication and faster engagement leveraging instant messaging platforms, and video interviews, website chatbots and dedicated 'Hiring Days'.
Work within the HR area on behalf of Information Technology Services to ensure full cycle staffing support for full time and contract positions, in compliance with collective agreement requirements and in a manner that is consistent with College policy, procedures, employment standards and legislation.
Administrative duties to support the recruitment process.
Perform other duties as assigned.


A degree in Human Resource (HR) Management or equivalent; CHRP, RPR or postgraduate diploma in HR management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of three (3) years’ recruitment experience in a similar setting (this experience must include working within both unionized and non-unionized environments).
Understanding of IT terminology and jobs roles and/or experience working within the IT recruitment.
Familiarity with both permanent and contract recruitments.
Knowledge of recruitment processes including a variety of sourcing strategies, automated recruitment systems and social networking tools.
Knowledge of human resource functions and pertinent legislation.
Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, employment accessibility obligations and accommodation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the College.
Excellent planning and organizational skills to effectively co-ordinate staffing activity.
Advanced computer literacy in MS Office, HRIS, CRMs and ERPs.


Some IT background (BSc) or Computer Science/Technology designation; preferred but not required.Advanced computer literacy in MS Office, HRIS, CRMs and ERPs.
