Kinsight is a Non-Profit Organization that operates out of Tri-Cities and New Westminster. From infants to seniors, we serve over 2,000 families with children, youth and adults each year. Pay: $19.45 - $22.65/hour

Locations: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody

POSITION SUMMARY:

Residential Care Workers assist people who live in a variety of residential settings to enhance their quality of life by providing opportunities for independence, learning and self expression. These opportunities will reflect and respect personal preferences and choices of the people served. The responsibilities of this position include ensuring that people’s physical, emotional, social, and medical needs are met. Residential Care Workers provide support/advocacy for all persons to participate as full members of the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Human Services or Community Support Worker or equivalent.
  • Driver’s License - Unrestricted Class 4 or Class 5 (location dependent)
  • Required to use personal vehicle.
  • Current Community Care First Aid/CPR/NVCI, Food Safe certificates
  • Two years of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Positive behavioral Support techniques, knowledge and experience in skill based training.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals and families.
  • Experience with assisting people with a variety of personal care needs an asset
  • Experience operating mechanical lifts and assisting people with a variety of personal care needs an asset.
  • This position requires BCGEU union membership

POSITION: #2045 (Class 4 Driver’s License Required):

Hours: 18 hours per week*

  • Mon: 4 pm – 9 pm
  • Sat: 8 am – 1 pm
  • Sun: 8 am – 4 pm

*May be required to work Statutory Holidays. Hours, days of work and location subject to change based on the program needs.

POSITION: #2046 (Class 5 Driver’s License Required):

Hours: 14 hours per week*

  • Sun: 4 pm – 8 pm
  • Tues: 4 pm – 9 pm
  • Fri: 4 pm – 9 pm

*Hours, days of work and location subject to change based on the program needs.

POSITION: #2047 (Class 4 Driver’s License Required):

Previous experience using Lifts, Transfers, Dysphagia

Hours: 14 hours per week*

  • Mon: 4 pm – 11 pm
  • Sun: 4 pm – 11 pm

*May be required to work statutory holidays. Hours, days of work and location subject to change based on the program needs.

POSITION: #2048 (Class 4 Driver’s License Required):

Previous experience using Lifts, Transfers, Dysphagia

Hours: 13 hours per week*

  • Sat: 2 pm – 8 pm
  • Sun: 9 am – 4 pm

*May be required to work statutory holidays. Hours, days of work and location subject to change based on the program needs.

POSITION: #2049 (Class 5 Driver’s License Required):

Hours: 21 hours per week*

  • Sun: 4 pm – 11 pm
  • Thur: 4 pm – 11 pm
  • Fri: 4 pm – 11 pm
