PURPOSE OF JOB
The Regional Human Resources Coordinator will work in cooperation with various HR partners on a daily basis to assist with the delivery of all HR programs and initiatives. The HR Coordinator must create effective working relationships with internal employees and business partners and must work well with many different levels of management. The incumbent provides talent development support through participation in recruitment and training efforts for the region. This role provides administrative support to the HR function as needed, including record-keeping, monitoring, reporting and coordinating for the different HR programs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Coordination: 30%
Establish and maintain a training calendar that meets the needs of the region. Communicate dates to the Regional Admin Assistant for inclusion on the operations calendar
Schedule and coordinate all training, participant travel and materials for all regional workshops to increase training penetration rates
Monitor training completion rates for First Aid, Forklift and other technical training as required and communicate reminders to the field as needed
Coordinate position specific training for promoted and newly hired managers, including travel if required
Conduct follow up with Designate managers and trainers during initial training period as well as at 30, 60, and 90-day intervals post training to ensure consistency and quality levels of in store training and continuation of development in role during the first 90 days
Monitor and track participation in leadership development programs, including Store Leadership Development, Manager Development and GM Development Programs, and mentoring programs in the region. Orient new participants and mentors to the programs, and complete program paperwork as required
Administrative Tasks: 30%
Complete and/or facilitate documentation for manager and supervisor changes, including internal offer letters, salary changes, benefit and position changes
Liaise with Home Office support teams to manage general reporting and data requests
Monitor and track the annual regional HR travel and training budgets; identify and surface concerns and errors to Regional HR Director in a timely manner
Generate the weekly shuffle chart and update as required in a timely manner
Complete PeopleSoft data entry for the region
Support regional recruitment efforts by conducting interviews and attending internal/external hiring events
Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialist and HRBPs to support stores level recruitment needs
Participate in project work as assigned at the regional and national level.
Regional Initiatives: 10%
Support regional needs as they relate to national HR or Operations strategy such as exit interview, meeting planning, etc.

Knowledge / Skill Requirements:
Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Creating and Maintaining Databases
Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
Able to balance multiple priorities and demands
Manages relationships in a confidential and a effective manner
Strong organization skills
1 to 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
Previous experience in Retail/Retail Management an asset.
Previous experience in recruitment an asset.
Post Secondary education preferred, preferably in Human Resources or Retail Management
Human Resources designation an asset.
