About the Job:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator supports the organization's human resources by implementing and maintaining human resources policies, programs, and practices. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your HR Generalist skills in a progressive role in a growing company. This position is located in Courtenay, BC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the job requisition and approval process, job postings, candidate contact and reference checks.
  • Prepare offer letters and new hire paperwork.
  • Update and maintain internal ADP site
  • Maintain and update policies and programs as needed
  • Assist with development, tracking, and enforcement of company health and safety policies.
  • Ensure that all policies and programs in place are in adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Complete general administrative tasks such as mail and fax sorting, filing, and other related duties.
  • Complete and maintain general HR paperwork.
  • Prepare and maintain records as per regulatory and legal standards.
  • Administer benefit and incentive programs to employees.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in an environment of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • 3+ years in progressively responsible HR roles in a multi-location context, preferably in an environment of constant change and evolution.
  • Post- secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
  • Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
