The Maintenance Planner is responsible for improving work force productivity and work quality by eliminating delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of work orders, parts and labor. The Planner is also responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance work performed at Farm Boy and maintains records and files to permit meaningful analysis of completed work. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy vision, mission, and the Farm Boy Way.
Responsible for generating PM, PdM and Corrective work orders and plan/schedule.
Responsible for the administration of the CMMS system, including inventory management.
Create and publish weekly work order schedule and update completion and communicate results.
Track work order completion rates and document/share with team.
Review and process work requests.
Responsible for the maintenance of equipment information and files.
Plan and coordinate maintenance work and minor projects with Maintenance Supervisor and technicians.
Work with stores and operations groups to establish equipment availability.
Responsible for parts and supply ordering and receiving for planned work and maintenance.
Chair weekly meeting with operations group to set priorities for the following week’s schedule.
Audit and improve all current PMs for content and frequency and implement PM procedures for all new equipment.
Works with QA and safety departments to ensure compliance.
Responsible for conducting regular cycle counts.
Responsible for maintenance of parts area and ensuring parts are organized and area is kept clean.
Responsible for maintenance and updating of parts catalogue library.
May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in Engineering, plus 5 + years of experience in equipment /building planning and maintenance preferably in the retail industry.
Knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment and materials.
