Why is this role important?

Mailroom Clerk is responsible for assisting the Mailroom Supervisor in overseeing the day to day operations and all mailroom responsibilities required at the Loblaw 500 lakeshore blvd West office location. Supporting the office colleagues for whatever mail/courier/print/adhoc needs are necessary or requested by all business units/departments in the office.

Day to Day Operations

Mailroom clerk is responsible for receiving all incoming mail and courier for the building
Responsible for sorting and delivering mail/courier to office colleagues daily and notifying internal recipients upon delivery
Daily mail/courier collection for all floors throughout the building
Performing daily outgoing mail and courier processing ie. Canada Post, Fed-Ex
Assisting colleagues with courier tracking requests
Monitoring and replenishing consumable supplies in mail/print centres on all the floors ie. Paper, Envelopes, printer toners,
Responsible for various Office services related duties throughout the building ie. Daily Ad-Hoc requests for assistance from office colleagues regarding personal lockers, consumable supply replenishment.
Ensure mailroom workspace and print/mail centres on all floors are tidy and free from safety hazards to comply with Health& Safety standards
Maintain mailroom equipment including Fe-Ex ship manager, postage machine, print finishing equipment etc. Report deficiencies to mailroom Supervisor
Awareness of cost savings when selecting shipping options
Responsible for making sure mailroom is securely locked up at end of day, daily identifying any security breaches and incomplete tasks

Qualifications

1 to 2 years of Mailroom experience
Ability to lift up to 60lbs
Capability of being on your feet for long periods
Strong Communication skills
Experience in a fast paced work environment, able to cope with adversity in regards to last minute Ad-Hoc duties or projects.
Familiarity with Fed-Ex ship manager hardware/software will be an asset
Experience in a corporate office setting would be beneficial
Knowledge and experience in print production/print finishing will be an asset
Positive attitude/ excellent interpersonal skills
Progressive thinker and diplomatic co-worker
Valid Ontario Drivers License(preferred but not mandatory)
