TDBG spends over $8bn each year with suppliers. The Strategic Sourcing Group’s (SSG) role, in collaboration with our business partners, is to create a sustainable competitive advantage for TDBG by leveraging this 3rd-party spend and the expertise of our key suppliers to meet our needs, reduce total cost and mitigate supply-related risks.
Our role is global in scope and we have just embarked on a journey within our department, and more broadly across the organization, to transform the way we do sourcing, purchasing and vendor management.
Our team comprises over 200 people who are located in various TDBG locations across North America.
Reporting to the AVP of SSG, Program Sourcing Execution, the incumbent is accountable for the Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) Data and Information Standards as it pertains to the Source to Pay (S2P) Tier 2 Program, as well as transition to BAU Data Management once S2P is fully implemented. This incumbent would be working with the Program Fulltime and would be responsible for ensuring that the new transformational platform is aligned with SSG Data Strategy and is in adherence to OCDO Enterprise Data and Information Policy & Standards. They will also work closely with the Finance organization's Data Steward (DS) Community and partner extensively with their peers in various SSG groups to establish strong and sustainable data lifecycle management practices for SSG.
Assisting the Business Owner for the build out of the SSG S2P Data Principles across the Strategic Sourcing Group, globally in accordance with the Finance Data Strategy and OCDO Enterprise Data and Information Policy & Standards;
Developing requirements, data analytics, data retention, gap analysis and remediation plans
Providing leadership across various activities of the Data Stream of the P2P Project including Spend, Reporting, A/P data
Providing leadership and guidance to other member of the Data Stream consisting of Data SMEs, Business Analysts, SSG, AP, Tax Business SMEs and Technology Resources where applicable to the project
Coordinate, partner and build consensus with Finance teams globally to understand current state and develop longer term, sustainable action plans;
Develop and recommend sustainable processes and procedures for Strategic Sourcing Group’s platform S2P
Ensure decisions and solutions on S2P are aligned with Finance's Innovation & Data Strategies;
Navigate across and partner with TD's Data Steward Community for best practices, insights and shared learnings principally as it relates to S2P and SSG;
Provide thought leadership on S2P leveraging industry best practices and experience;
Be considered an expert with a detailed understanding of the retention & destruction practices within the Strategic Sourcing Platform.
Represent Data as it pertains to the S2P Program for SSG on various enterprise-wide projects & initiatives;
Work effectively with multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains, influencing and aligning others as needed;
Provide functional / business level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and / or employees are consistent, appropriate and aligned to business strategies and executive management direction;
Principle contact, but working in partnership as Strategic Sourcing representative with the Finance organization, globally as it relates to OCDO, Audit, and any regulatory parties/engagements concerning Finance's retention & destruction practices;
Build and manage relationships and partnerships in the delivery of the S2P program Data Model with senior business leaders and internal/external stakeholders from both business and technology;
Participate in Finance's Segment Data Council meetings representing the S2P Program and on occasion SSG;
Participate fully as a member of the S2P Program team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues;
Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce;
Act as a brand ambassador for the S2P team and the bank;
Exceptional skills in data analytics
Proven track record in establishing and growing sourcing/procurement/AP data capability including sophisticated integration of data across various data sources
Spend analytics and enrichment
Data quality, data governance, metadata management, data lifecycle management
Seasoned leader with proven ability to develop and deliver holistic program level Data Strategies
Strategic mindset with the ability to understand implications of key decisions on policies, down-stream processes, etc;
Knowledge of Sourcing Data (Source to Contract, Procure to Pay) data and systems
Experience working on data integration projects or large scale, complex technology projects using formal project delivery methodology;
Excellent relationship management skills;
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
Strong organizational awareness;
Strong attention to detail and well-organized to manage large amounts of information and details;
