About the Opportunity

Currently, McGrail Farm Equipment is looking for an enthusiastic Service Clerk to join our team in Chatham-Kent, Ontario on a full-time basis.

As our new Service Clerk, you will assist the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department's operation within the dealership.

Your more typical responsibilities in this role will include:
Interacting with customers on the phone and at the service counter.
Processing work orders.
Maintaining the service library as well as the Service Department filing and records.
Updating customer profiles using relevant information from the customer work orders including equipment and hours.
Maintaining accessories and supplies as well as preparing replacement orders.
Preparing Service Technician efficiency reports as required.
Processing warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission, and follow-up.
Carrying our technician time submissions.

To qualify for this role you will need a basic knowledge of accounting practices along with either a College/University education or equivalent experience. You will also need the ability to use Microsoft Office and internet functions as well as possessing knowledge of the agriculture equipment industry. A general understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.

As our ideal candidate for this role, you'll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your ability to work well in a team environment combined with your knowledge of farm and turf equipment will ensure your success in this role. Your ability to multi-task and your desire to always learn more and improve yourself will allow you to successfully serve our customers no matter what their request might be.
