Reporting to the Manager of Project Controls & Estimating in Calgary, the Planner/ Scheduler will be responsible for formulating and maintaining conceptual and definitive EP, EPCM and EPC schedules and providing innovative solutions to scheduling problems in collaboration with Bantrel’s project leadership teams and Project Controls specialists. Candidates will have a broad appreciation of conceptual engineering and project execution logic networks, excellent task planning, communication and reporting skills, in addition to expertise in Primavera P6.

Formulate execution plans for planning and scheduling activities/ deliverables.
Prepare planning and scheduling baselines independently and in collaboration with delivery teams.
Perform schedule development, maintenance and monitoring activities.
Perform schedule forecasting and status reporting activities.
Devise progress measurement models and perform progress monitoring and reporting activities.
Demonstrate skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems.
Perform schedule what-if analyses and studies.
Prepare planning and scheduling presentations/ reports for project and client management, as required.
Support proposal activities as required.

Broad experience in the collaborative assembly, interpretation, logic sequencing and analysis of EP and C schedules, progress and performance tools.
Skilled in written and oral communication, with a demonstrated ability to present planning and scheduling information to management and clients.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems. Knowledgeable about current industry and technical developments.
Knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.

Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in EPC project planning and scheduling.
Proficient in Primavera (P6).
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
