Position: ENG Mobile Technician, CTV News Vancouver, Bell Media
Location: 969 Robson St, Vancouver, B.C.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Some shift work including evenings, weekends, overtime and on-call will be required
Reporting to, and under the direction of the ENG camera supervisor, this multi-talented and motivated team player will be responsible for the scheduled and daily maintenance and operation of various types of HD and SD broadcast equipment, including, but not limited to:
ENG microwave truck with satellite uplink
Plan, set up and operate all aspects of remote TV news setups
Electronic News Gathering equipment, cameras and accessories
Studio and television production equipment
Video production switchers and DVEs
Audio and Intercom systems
Video servers, Master Control and Production Automation systems
Post-Secondary education in Broadcasting Technology
Ability and willingness to work outside in all climates.
Knowledge of all major television broadcast equipment is a definite
Professional attitude and disposition in dealing with staff and Management
Initiative and organizational skills, eagerness to learn, flexibility and willingness to help co-workers where required
MUST possess an unrestricted BC Class 5 driving licence with clean driving record (abstract will be required)
The ability to act as a team player, see the big picture and work under pressure
Good judgment and ability to multi-task a variety of functions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
Must have a focus and track record of superior customer service
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
