Vallen currently has a permanent full-time opening for a Site Manager in our Fort Saskatchewan Site location.

Responsible for Managing and monitoring the Operations and Processes at the Customer’s site, ensuring they are consistently applied and practiced. Managing and encouraging optimal performance of all direct reports, including training. Must be familiar with large plant site operations and site orientation safety considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership of all Vallen on-site personnel and off-site inventory analyst
  • Assuring staff development and training is completed and upgraded to acceptable standards (internal and external)
  • Resolving day to day personnel issues where management decisions are required
  • Lead Employee Performance Management review process for employees
  • Compliance of operations within Vallen and client corporate guidelines
  • Providing assistance to Key Account Manager with annual budgets
  • Developing and managing customer specific reports
  • Ensuring inventory is appropriately stocked and replenished
  • Managing the on-going inventory cycle count process
  • Auditing operational processes and identifying gaps and areas for improvement
  • Initiating the implementation of new processes/changes
  • Communicating and coordinating activities with Territory Manager


  • High School Diploma required
  • University/College education and/or Certification in Operations Management an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office required
  • Experience with inventory management databases required
  • 3+ years related experience in Operations and/or Management. Previous Management experience preferred.
  • Experience in the MRO / Safety industry preferred
