Position Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant plays an important role in the quality and safety of our medications. They assist in the billing, preparation, packaging and organization of the medication deliveries, which requires an exceptional attention to detail. Their support to the Pharmacists and Technicians is essential to maintaining our quality standards. Multi-Specialty Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to work at our Brampton location. As a Pharmacy Assistant you will report to the Pharmacy Management team.

Key responsibilities of Pharmacy Assistant include:

Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling,

Data entry of patient care information on Kroll,

Third Party adjudication on Kroll,

Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems,

General OTC inquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary,

Handling customer prescription pick up,

Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 2 year Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or Technician FULL TIME is a must (prefered 5+ year of experience)

Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation;

Strong communication skills;

Demonstrated customer service experience;

Strong motivation to succeed;

Proficient computer/data/entry skills.
