ABOUT OUR OPERATION
Over the next five years, Agnico Eagle will hire over 600 people across our Nunavut mining operations to help us bring two new sites into production. Meliadine is now under construction and is expected to begin operating in late 2019. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. The site will feature a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex. We expect to operate Meliadine for at least 14 years and we will need to hire over 900 people to help us mine this rich new deposit.
