Our client provides exceptional advice and cost-effective solutions, with an emphasis on litigation and dispute resolution. This talented and respected team seeks a dedicated and collaborative Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant.
In this role, you will work closely with two lawyers in a team-oriented environment, and your duties will include:
Preparing documents and pleadings as required, including application records and Briefs of Authorities;
Filing documents with registries when required;
Scheduling discoveries, trial dates and other meetings;
Assisting with file/document management;
Dealing with clients, experts, and referral sources;
Managing complex tasks in order to move files forward in a meaningful way;
Maintaining primary responsibility for the full billing cycle;
Participating with other team members in covering reception breaks as necessary;
Complete all other administrative tasks as required.
As the ideal match for this exciting role, you have 3+ years of experience with commercial litigation files, and solid knowledge of the BC litigation and Court procedures. You have an LAA or Paralegal certificate, or are working towards one. Additionally, you're proactive, resourceful, proficient with computers, and you have a great sense of humour!
