Job Description

Our Hub City Volkwagen business is greatly expanding and along with the redevelopment of our the store, we are currently looking for a dynamic, energetic and passionate individual to join our award-winning team in the role of Accounting Clerk.

General Responsibilities:

  • Review, edit and enter automotive transactions into accounting system;
  • Reconcile and clear all general ledger accounts, including all related schedules;
  • Prepare financial figures for month end reporting;
  • Enter daily cash deposits, for the dealership and body shop;
  • A/R entries and collections, including all insurance companies;
  • A/P entries, including internals;
  • Processing and verifying all internal work orders.

Requirements(including but not limited to):

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an automotive dealership;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Strong accounting skills;
  • Advance Excel skills;
  • Ability to balance and reconcile general ledger accounts;
  • Solid knowledge of the automotive accounting program Serti;
  • Summit software knowledge is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Word, Windows and Outlook;
  • Communication skills in both verbal and written;
  • Confidence in your ability to be successful;
  • Self-starter and self-motivated;
  • Ability to work well with others or alone.
