Royal Food Products is a third generation, family run business.. We specialize in the development and production of quality savory pastries as well as innovative food products for retailers and food service companies across North America. We concentrate heavily on Food Safety & Quality under GFSI Certification, HACCP Principles & CFIA Inspection. We are rapidly growing and in need of a dynamic HACCP Manager. This exciting role requires a hands-on individual who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to learn, grow and make their mark. You will be working in collaboration with the Senior Management, Production Manager, Plant Supervisors, CFIA Inspectors, & 3rd Party Auditors.

Main Responsibilities, but not exclusive to:

Maintain & Implement and update existing and new HACCP Plans

Ensure food safe meat products and compliances with CFIA Meat Inspection Act & Regulations

Coordinate Compliance and Verification (CVS) tasks for CFIA inspectors on a daily basis

Main point contact for CFIA

Maintain, implement and update SQF (GFSI) to current certification levels

Maintain, implement and update existing and New Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program Control program

Perform QA/QC in process production

Provide recommendations on corrective and preventative measures to improve on food safety

Training of employees - HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Procedures, Company Policies, Job duties & SSOP's.

Work independently and established a good working relationship with fellow employees, management, CFIA, customers and third parties

Resolve and respond to customer complaints on Food Safety, Nutrition, and Food Quality issues

Conduct and coordinate food recalls if required

Perform and assist in daily quality and food safety related decision making based on established processes to ensure products meet the quality standards and food safety requirements of Royal Food Products and its customers

Perform daily monitoring and verification tasks outlined in the HACCP & SQF programs and recommend corrective actions for deviations along with continual assessment to make HACCP & SQF programs better

Provide support & coaching to employees and production management to maintain and improve facility QA practices and procedures

Preform data entry and data analysis tasks

Preform microbiological, analytical sampling and analysis for product and environment as required

Participate in projects and meetings with the goal of improving Food Safety and Food Quality

Assist in the implementation of changes that advance QA systems and safety programs

Candidate must have 5 years experience in a Federal Plant, SQF knowledge & University education

Salary: $70,000.00 /year
