Foreman
CCA is an industry leader in technical and medium to large scale electrical installations, controls, and automation. Together, with partners, we build some of the most notable and exciting projects in North America. We are actively seeking new team members to work with us on another exciting project.
As a Foreman, you will be responsible to oversee the day-to-day execution of a small team of electricians, apprentices, and technicians. You will interface daily with the site supervisor for site safety, team tasks, team execution and trades coordination.
Job Description:
· Read and interpret layout drawings, system schematics and installation methods
· Study and understand site, customer and CCA installation specifications
· Teach and promote good work habits to team members and other individuals
· Ensure your team is working efficiently and has the correct tools, materials, equipment, and knowledge to ensure a safe and timely installation
· Complete a daily walk through on site, inspect work areas for specifications issues, equipment issues and overall quality of installation
· Provide daily updates to the project manager on progress and timelines for the current task
· Be able to communicate effectively with all team members and promote a positive workplace
· Task plan effectively with daily and weekly plans
· Ability to look ahead to transition teams, equipment and materials is paramount
· Health and Safety must be prioritized accordingly with your team
· Responsible for submitting required reports and paperwork in a timely manner, (time allocation, check sheets, etc.) and maintaining neat and organized notes
· Complete an accurate and detailed JSA at the beginning of each new task
· Occasionally contribute on the tools when the circumstance requires
Requirements:
· Experience managing medium to large scaled electrical, commercial, and industrial projects in a Foreman role
· Extensive knowledge of business management practices to operate efficiently to realize profit while maintaining a high level of customer service
· Experience in analyzing and understanding electrical and mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial and industrial projects
· Solid knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code
· Excellent written and verbal skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· Active 309A license
Details:
· Location: West end GTA: Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton
· Start Date: Approximately June 13th, 2022
· Timeline: Approx. 5 months (strong likelihood of extending beyond that)
· Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a Foreman role, or equivalent
· Salary: Competitive
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5-6 months
Salary: $43.00-$53.00 per hour
