We are currently looking for a Lighting Specialist to join our team in one of our electrical branches in Edmonton, Alberta.

This position requires an individual with an entrepreneurial attitude along with strong business acumen and a desire to succeed. They will be a team player with a demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines in a positive and professional manner.


The Lighting Specialist will have the ability to drive and influence specifications at the consulting engineering, as well as at the developer and property management level for our complete offering of lighting fixtures and lighting control products.

Must support territory and sales teams' needs while executing lighting plans jointly formulated by lighting sales manager
Provide product demonstrations for specifiers, contractors, distributors and end users
Manage and maintain lighting inventories as required by understanding customers’ needs, challenges and technology along with manufacturer updates
Develop long term relationships with lighting manufacturers and customers in a professional manner
Participate in trade shows and manufacturers events
Maintain and develop product knowledge on lighting and lighting controls product lines

Experience in the Lighting industry is mandatory – applicants not meeting the qualification criteria will not be considered
Three (3) to five (5) years residential, commercial and industrial market segment experience
Knowledge in Lighting controls and products
Expertise in lighting, electrical and design with project management skills
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral, written and presentation skills)
Good software skills including MS Office
AGi32 lighting design experience and/or a recognized IES certification are considered assets
Demonstrated interest in personal and professional development
High school education
