EMG techonologists are experts in the peripheral nervous system (PNS). They perform nerve conduction studies on patients, and assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of the PNS. This position is for either a certified techologist or for an apprenticeship to become certified in performing nerve conduction studies. This extremely unique position also provides you with the oportunity to learn and use ultrasound in the clinical practice.
An undergraduate or master’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field in health sciences. Background knowledge in anatomy and physiology is required. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills in a team setting.
The training period is anticipated to be two year and is provided onsite. We have all of the learning materials needed for your sucess. The expectation is that the employee will sit the ABEM CNCT qualifying examination (or equivalant) once eligible.
