Senior Project Scheduler – term ending December 31, 2024

As a Senior Project Scheduler in the newly established Project Management Office, you would play a key role maintaining schedules as part of the controls team that helps the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) deliver its mandate. Not only will you be interacting with WDBA’s Senior Management and our departments, we can offer you the following abilities, to:

  • Effectively analyze and update schedule activities to identify areas of criticality and schedule impacts from delays
  • Use your strong Primavera P6 skills to maintain schedules including critical path schedules based on design, engineering, procurement and construction philosophies
  • Coordinate with WDBA staff and contractors to maintain tracking of work scope and the schedule against approved project goals and objectives
  • Scrutinize construction process at the activity level in coordination with Project Managers and determine implications to the project and the earned value payment (EVP)
  • Be relied upon to evaluate contractor performance and resources in coordination with Project Managers and analyze impact of drivers to schedule and delays
  • Support the Director with claims analysis by coordinating review of claims that result from schedule delays
  • Be part of all the components of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project by developing and analyzing the schedule for Canadian Early Works, US Utilities and US property acquisition
  • Use your previous scheduling experience to conduct schedule risk analysis on an on-going bases and assess potential impacts in coordination with the Enterprise Risk Manager
  • Ensure communication with management through creation of reports and provide recommendations for actions and mitigations when potential impacts to schedule
  • Support the planning and scheduling activities of the organization through process mapping and identification of activities

To join this connective team, you will bring the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline or Diploma in a related filed and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience
  • A Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation (an asset)
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role with at least 3-5 years of large construction project experience, preferably in P3 infrastructure and/or transportation
  • Experience with P3 project delivery (an asset)
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Intermediate/Advanced MS Project and Visio skills
  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Personnel Screening/ Security Clearance
