The primary function of the Sales Specialist ProServices is to serve as the store expert on pro sales by providing detailed product information to both customers and other Lowe’s employees. The Sales Specialist ProServices is expected to maximize sales and margins by pursuing and contacting targeted customers, identifying and exploring sales opportunities through asking questions, developing action plans for sales opportunities, and abiding by ProServices’ monthly program, call targets and directives. This includes following up on sales and quotes, maintaining inventory levels to support sales, preparing sales transactions, planning and arranging deliveries, ensuring orders are sold and tracked, and continuously establishing relationships with new and building relationships with current customers. The Sales Specialist ProServices is also responsible for providing excellent customer service through the daily execution of Lowe’s customer service programs, proactively resolving root causes of customer issues, following up on completed orders to ensure customer satisfaction, and collaborating with other employees to assist customers as needed in locating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise in support of all customers with a focus on the pro customer. This includes opening business accounts as requested and handling government accounts. The Sales Specialist ProServices is also required to maintain a safe and secure work environment by complying with company policies and procedures for merchandising, housekeeping, safety, and monitoring for potential theft or security risks. Lastly, the Sales Specialist ProServices is responsible for completing all other duties as assigned.Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Required to work a schedule as determined by sales, customer, and business needs, but may be changed by store management based on the needs of the store.
Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day require advanced notification and approval by supervisor.
Hourly Full Time, Part Time or Seasonal: Generally scheduled 40, 24 to 30, or 0 to 40 hours per week respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store. This position reports to an Assistant Store Manager and takes daily direction from a Department Manager. This position does not have direct reports.

### Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year external experience in customer facing sales OR 6 months Lowe's retail experience.
1 year sales experience in building and maintenance, building and maintenance supply, construction, trades, or MRO (maintenance repair operations), identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
Also responsible for identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating product, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business.
1 year experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order.
2 years experience identifying and selling products based upon customer needs or plans and following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
2 years experience in providing exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering phones, thanking customers for their business, pulling orders for delivery, pricing jobs, calculating job lot quantities, following up with customers, and cold calling.
1 year experience promoting product related services and plans such as installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plans.
2 years experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
2 years experience in a trade directly related to commercial sales.
2 years business-to-business sales experience.
Lifts up to 40 pounds daily without assistance; may lift up to 100 pounds with or without assistance.
The Sales Specialist ProServices may be required to perform job activities, with appropriate intermittent relief where applicable, under difficult work conditions such as in extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, while exposed to constant/intermittent sounds (if applicable).
