One Full Time Vocational Counselor/ Community Inclusion to provide employment support to a variety of individuals. As per Community Support Worker Job Description. Must be able to take a lead role in developing individual employment plans, provide coaching, training and support to clients and assist in their developmental growth and success. Staff will need to demonstrate the ability to support individuals with all aspects of customized employment including employment readiness skills, job coaching and the discovery process. Staff will need to be active members in the community according to the needs, wishes and abilities of the person served. Will be expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and provide orientation, mentoring, etc, to colleagues. Staff will be expected to use their own vehicle when required, therefore vehicles must be in safe condition and staff must hold a valid class 5 BC driver’s license. Other duties as directed by management.
40 hours per week.
Schedule will be Monday- Friday 8am-8pm, however staff need to be prepared to flex their shifts according to the client needs. Applicants need to be prepared to work days, evenings, holidays and/or weekends, as required. Varies depending on the person served, i.e. locations could include the person’s home, work, program, or any community venue/location.
As per Appendix A wage grid. Mileage will be paid according to the collective agreement and approved budget.
