The purpose of the role is to oversee daily and overall operations and functions of cashier/ customer service department
Hiring cashiers and creating/maintaining monthly scheduling.
Training and development of new cashier hires.
Overseeing returns and customer service issues.
Closing the cashiers mid-day.
Providing cashiers with change as requested.
Overseeing the tidiness of all cashier stations at start of day and throughout.
Maintaining stock and supply levels at each cashier station.
Overseeing the general front of store check out area.
Overseeing special orders and ensuring cashiers are trained on such procedures.
Relaying customer suggestions and input to the office.
Listening to customer complaints and diffusing escalations.
Completing price checks.
Maintaining an efficient customer flow; ensuring there are enough cashiers to avoid lines.
Ensuring cashiers have complete knowledge of all store policies.
Providing a positive work environment.
Bringing new ideas for better departmental operations to management
Read and write in English
