Reporting to the Manager, HR Operations and Analytics, the Contract Senior Analyst will support HR system enhancement projects focusing on system configuration, documenting requirements, testing preparation and execution as well as standard and ad-hoc reporting. The incumbent will assist with the optimization of integrations and support associated change management efforts.
Assist with Workday configuration and design of business processes, security and reports
Assist in optimizing Workday functionality by evaluating our current and desired business processes/rules and system capabilities. This could include enhancements in system areas such as Time Tracking, Time off, Core HCM and custom report building
Configure and test workday integrations to benefits and payroll platform providers
Work with vendor and internal stakeholders to develop optimal system solutions by leveraging best practices and having data integrity and ongoing ease of support top of mind
Participate in business acceptance testing activities, including business functionality, integrations and reports/ dashboards
Understand and manage the end to end flow of HR data across multiple systems and functions
Work closely with other HR teams to develop and distribute reports
Document and maintain business user guides, including training material for business users across CPP Investments
Support other HR systems processes and activities as required
The preferred candidate will have 5-7 years experience working in a similar role.
Other position requirements:
Experience with Workday HCM, reporting and integrations
Workday certifications or formal training are an asset
Ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions
Advanced Excel skills for reporting, metrics and data validation
Strong planning and organizational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities
Very detail oriented with a superior track record of achieving high quality results
Collaborate across the organization and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think ‘outside the box‘
Good communication skills - both written and verbal
Proven ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information
Ability to independently produce discrete pieces of work
Ability to foster effective working relationships at all levels internally and with external partners
Able to identify opportunities, take initiative and think through future implications
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
