Bilingual Health & Safety Advisor: Agilus is recruiting for a Bilingual Health & Safety Advisor on a 12 months contract for a leading energy company in Saint-Laurent, QC.

Accountabilities:
Align with Senior Management and shop/site employees on implementation of Health and Safety Management Systems, Processes and Training.
Coordinate with the Operations Manager, other Site Leadership, and company’s Health & Safety Management in determining priorities and business unit strategies.
Develop and manage Environmental Occupational Health & Safety program.
Maintenance of all records of Federal, Provincial, Local, Corporate and ongoing registrations
Implement effective loss control measures to reduce accidents and injuries.
Advise and assist BU management in implementing, managing and auditing Health and Safety Management Systems.
Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with BU and product line management, employees and local regulatory agencies.
Serve as an expert resource for BU management for health and safety information regarding safety and health processes and regulations.
Provide expertise and lead investigations for Health & Safety concerns and incidents, complete root cause analysis, development of corrective actions, and follow-up mechanisms, and ensure communication of relevant information to management and all employees.
Ensure implementation and management of health and safety training and documentation.
Monitor federal and provincial agencies for regulatory changes and advise operations accordingly.
Ensure BU’s incident reporting standard is followed and best practices are shared with regional and product line personnel.
Coordinate health and industrial hygiene monitoring as needed.
Ensure Health & Safety KPI reporting in accordance with Regional and Group standards.
Drive behaviors which support building “world class” health & safety culture.

Must Have Skills:
Post-secondary certification (degree, diploma, certificate) in Occupational Health & Safety.
Fluent with both French and English languages
5+ years working experience as a Health & Safety professional.
Minimum 3 years in manufacturing related industry.
National recognized Health and Safety certifications is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expert knowledge of Provincial and Federal safety regulations.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Available to travel to other sites

Duration: 12 months

Location: Saint-Laurent, QC.

Pay: $40/hr.
