The Hill Times, a leading and well-established political news company, is seeking a senior web developer and experienced problem solver to lead our technology department. You will work closely with senior leadership to design and implement our technology strategy.

Are you a web developer passionate about building beautiful and functional websites, do you want to work with a team of passionate journalists and editors covering breaking and in-depth news? Do you like trying new things, learning as you go and working on a multi-discipline team?

We are looking for an energetic PHP Web developer to develop, design and grow our news websites. As The Hill Times CTO you will work on interesting challenges facing a vibrant news media company.

You will work directly with the publisher, editors, subscriptions and advertising sales teams to find new and innovative solutions to business challenges. You will be a hands-on developer and lead a team of full-time and contract developers.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences -

  • 6-15 years of web or software development experience in PHP and WordPress
  • 6+ years of LAMP (PHP) experience
  • 6+ years of experience developing in an enterprise environment with ticketing systems and source control
  • Must have excelled at an engineering /computer science degree
  • 6+ years of experience working with google analytics
  • 6+years working with sales and marketing plugins and tools for website
  • 6+years of leading website development teams
  • Experience with servers and hosting environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
