AHS Analytics (DIMR) assets include data and information products that are managed in secure self-service platforms and are accessible from across the organization. These assets are optimized for analytics where analytic users can consume data and information products using varied methods and tools (accompanied with the appropriate technology, services and governance) to generate actionable insights, inform decisions and improve outcomes for patients, populations and the health system. Working with the analytic community and external stakeholders, the position establishes best practices for privacy and security services for analytic assets and provides leadership in the development and implementation of plans that facilitate growth and advancement of privacy and security knowledge and compliance to required legislation, regulations, and policies.

Post-secondary degree in Information Systems, Information Management, or Privacy and Security.
Additional Required Qualifications:
9-12 years’ experience working directly with the relevant health privacy legislation and security policies. Demonstrated knowledge of the Alberta Health system from an information systems perspective. Demonstrated knowledge and skills including knowledge of legislation, interpretation of health and other privacy legislation for purposes of implementation and compliance. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in information security standards and system development processes. Proven critical thinking, analytical and problem resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation and leadership skills and the ability to work with stakeholders from a wide variety of business backgrounds. A record of managing large groups of people with diverse interests both staff and in matrix relationships and to appreciate the differences. Demonstrated ability to set and accomplish objectives, and effectively manage. Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate impacts from or to other programs and business areas.
Significant decision support experience including experience in developing Data Management Services Frameworks. Proven competency in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders in research and knowledge translation.
