Priceline is on the hunt for React and Node.js developers to join our growing (and new!) teams in our Winnipeg Office.

We're building an exciting new travel platform for some of our biggest partners (incl. Airlines, Department Stores, Credit Cards, Household Brands, etc.). With that comes new people and new teams!

Partner Launch Team (front-end leaning)

Every new partner we add to our network needs onboarding, custom development solutions and product enhancements. Join the partner development team and be challenged to meet the needs of various disparate consumer bases. Unique challenges every quarter. Exposure to a wide range of e-commerce strategies.

Contribute to our ever growing common component library, design system and the code that wires it all together into a world class travel website. All written in React, naturally. PPN has gone all in on React, rebuilding over the past few years as in investment in composability, portability, leading to rapid iteration and per-partner customization. If you love design systems and reusable code, this is the job for you!

Partner Architecture and Scalability Team (full stack, platforming)

Support the Partner Launch Team. Make their lives easy building highly scalable, automated content and config management systems and user interfaces. Our business scales with our partners, with 1000's of partners scalability is paramount to keeping our business growing. We build tools for our account and project managers to self service a new partner's setup, customization, launch, monitoring and growth.

Types of problems we are solving

How do we launch a new partner with ZERO overhead, no lengthy deploys, and little developer involvement?

How do we introduce new features and functionality without creating massive tech debt or unruly code bases?

Can our design system be themeable in order to handle any brand requirements you throw at it? Are the components able to adapt to our growing list of demand? How do we test them all!?

What is the best architecture for tracking custom variables for each of our partners?

How do we scale our apps to meet the demand of ever growing traffic volumes?

What tools do our partners and account managers need to launch a new partner brand in minimal time/overhead, but still make it highly customizable?

Our apps need to be deployed into the cloud, how do we containerize them, what’s 12 factor?

Are our React components loading as fast as possible?

Both teams need developers with the minimum qualifications listed below at various levels of experience. We are looking for intermediate, senior and principal experience levels. Leaders of either people or technology and all around honest hard working individuals who love a challenge.

Skills & Requirements
2+ years software development experience.
2+ years experience with front-end Javascript.
1+ years experience with React and Redux.
Some knowledge of modern dev patterns with HTML and CSS (styled-components, storybook, jest, or similar)
Experience interfacing with third-party APIs and frameworks.
Strong personal and communication skills.
Experience with Git.
Demonstrated history of living the values important to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust. Unquestionable integrity and ethics
5+ years software development experience.
5+ years experience with front-end Javascript.
2+ years experience with React and Redux.
Cutting edge, practiced skill using modern dev patterns with HTML and CSS (styled-components, storybook, jest, or similar)
Practiced skill in building and interfacing with third-party APIs and frameworks. Knowledge of best practices and experience with REST and some GraphQL.
Experience working on a team and able to speak to the benefits and pitfalls that come up.
Experience with Git, npm, build processes, CI/CD tools and deploying high traffic, production applications
