TECHNICAL SALES SPECIALIST – AREA MANAGER

Established in 1972, Trans-West Company is the industrial process-automation company for all your needs. We specialize in Instrumentation & Control Valve and Associated Process Equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, develop and collaborate with your team to achieve company goals and to optimize productivity and sales.
  • Maintain and develop new relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Develop sound product knowledge
  • Respond to complaints and warranty claims and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Keep current and advise on competitive market information such as new products, pricing strategies and market directions.
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Make recommendations to customers as to which products to use on specific applications. This includes optimum balance between product technical details, cost and customer process requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Instrumentation or Mechanical Disciplines an Asset

  • Knowledge of process control equipment
  • Knowledge of instrumentation products

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a sales related role with proven success
  • 2-5 years’ of experience in technical sales with an understanding of process control equipment.
  • Knowledge of final control/mechanical equipment will be an asset.
