Responsibilities: (All of the above, and below, but not exhaustive of what the position entails)

  • In conjunction with the Front of House/Back of House Management teams, accomplish Human Resources objectives by: recruiting, selecting, orienting, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing performance
  • Effectively enforce company policies, procedures, and instill culture, and core values
  • Achieve operational objectives in all portfolios by implementing: productivity, insisting upon quality, and upholding the highest standards of service
  • Work closely in connection with the Entertainment/Events team members to ensure successful day-to-day operations of private dining, corporate functions, and team building events
  • Resolve associate and/or guest conflict through service recovery, and implement change when necessary, to ensure satisfied and returning guests
  • Estimate food and beverage consumption and place orders with suppliers
  • Maintain budget and employee records
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Avoid legal challenges by following all company and government legislation
  • Prioritize preventative maintenance and arrange for repair of malfunctioned equipment, when necessary
  • Generate growth and restaurant sales through marketing initiatives and word-of-mouth advertising
  • Create an engaging and energetic environment, where all associates work as team members, with an unrelenting focus on providing an authentic and enthusiastic guest experience
  • Assist and support the General Manager with any and all relatable activities, duties, and responsibilities, in the effort to provide Burlington with a first class restaurant, entertainment, and SOCIAL experience

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years restaurant experience within the hospitality industry
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience
  • Experience in a similar environment and culture
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Ability to multitask, and change priorities constantly, as needed, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to conduct written and verbal performance reviews
  • Strong business acumen
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, and/or equivalent an asset
  • Smart Serve Certified
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Joint Health & Safety Committee Certification Part 1 and Part 2 (considered an asset)
