PART-TIME TURNING FULL TIME
The position of Line Cook requires an individual with the skills to prepare delicious menu items according to Cora's recipes. Line Cooks are important to our business and must consistently provide the tasty dishes guests expect with timely preparation for delivery.You will be expected to follow specific instructions for the correct cooking and presentation of menu items and to preserve and enhance the Cora brand. It's necessary to be adept at moving quickly and carefully around the kitchen and your co-workers, and to be apt at multi-tasking. Restaurant experience in a wide variety of cooking techniques is an important facet of the position.
Work Station Preparation
Food Preparation and stocking
Cook food using various utensils and appliances
Ensure accurate presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
Proper storage of food and other essential items
Quality check of ingredients
Proven restaurant experience as a cook
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures; Restaurant Health and safety certification and food handler's certificate
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or individually
Very good communication skills
Our hours of operation work perfectly for candidates who are looking for restaurant work with day-time hours (7am to 3pm). You must be able to work weekends and holidays.
