We are looking for a qualified Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for our Dartmouth, NS office.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager provides overall business support to Fleetway by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the relationships existing between the areas of Business Development, Contract Management/Performance, Operations, Human Resources, and Financial Reporting.
This individual in this role will continue to develop the strategies relative to the setup of financial reporting and tracking for all on-going contracts, ensuring that Fleetway is following government laws, rules, regulations and policies (Supply Policy manual) and Government Contracting Principles. The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will demonstrate knowledge of cost performance reporting and variance analysis and displays expert ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with other disciplines, groups and government agencies.
This person will also support the financial reporting requirements of the company by producing highly detailed reports to track, evaluate and communicate company financial status and results. They will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure coordination of all aspects of financial planning and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce
5-9+ years’ experience in relevant field
CPA designation required
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearances
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:
Support the development of Fleetway’s Annual Operating Plan and analyze performance and risks by:
Preparing annual charge-out rates
Developing rate structures for major bids
Analyzing operating costs to maximize costs savings
Overseeing government audits and work with company financial resources
Preparing timely reports to the Senior Management Team
Submitting annual reports to the Corporate office for renewal of Professional Liability Insurance
Oversee capital acquisitions planning and forecasting
Project financial tracking and reporting
Propose and implement Cost Breakdown Structures and Cost Centers to support financial reporting
Support to the preparation Cost Estimates
Support Fleetway and Oceanic Consulting Corp budgeting and forecasting
Develop and maintain standardized Program and Project Financial Reports
Support Program and Project KPI reporting efforts by the Director of Programs and Director Engineering
Support the Director of Programs in the development of Subcontracts and related Statements of Work
Support the Director of Programs in the development and negotiation of Terms and Conditions
Integrate of company financial systems and reports using JD Edwards (E1) including the alignment of the purchasing function
Management of the time entry processes and alignment with contracts to maximize charge out rates and accurate client billings
They will mentors, coach, and organize periodic training opportunities amongst various program management and project delivery employees of Fleetway and Oceanic Consulting Corp. for the development and enhancement of contracting and financial analysis skills
