Your Opportunity:
With general direction from the Staffing Office Supervisor, this position is accountable for the day-to-day administration / operation of staff scheduling processes, including data entry for payroll for site staff. Establishes and maintains effective communication, information flow and rapport between frontline managers, department/unit staff, staffing office and payroll. Promotes communication opportunities and participates in activities to develop rapport with key stakeholders with respect to the ESP scheduling and ESP payroll functions. Problem solves and prioritizes needs of areas. Responds to all written and verbal short and advance call requests from departments. Advises department with details of relief coverage. If relief is unavailable, will identify and assess other options to complete staffing needs for the department. Advises managers of possible solutions and assists managers with resolution. Processes staffing request forms and other staffing notification forms as per Staffing Office procedures Follows appropriate policies, procedures, collective agreements, legislation and timelines regarding the staff scheduling system ESP time entry Completes paperwork to ensure accurate ESP staff scheduling system records maintained for payroll processes. May be a primary contact with payroll for issues related to ESP time entry into the ESP staff scheduling system; may have the primary responsibility for dealing with managers’ queries in relation to the ESP staff scheduling system timekeeping records and for making the appropriate corrections in the ESP staff scheduling system Handles routine inquiries from staff regarding ESP scheduling related issues on pay cheques.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:
Current experience with ESP staff scheduling and ESP scheduling provisions with knowledge of ESP, Time entry, time cards and payroll is required. Current experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associ9ated with the regular performance of the tasks for a period of at least 2 years over the last 5 years. Requirement that you can demonstrate proficiency in ESP staff scheduling, time entry, time cards and payroll. A minimum of two years recent (equivalent full time hours) ESP Workforce experience with staff scheduling, time entry, time cards and payroll is required. The incumbent requires a good understanding of AHS policies and procedures, collective agreement interpretations and payroll practices (ESP). Proficient computer skills, customer service, problem solving, interpersonal skills and critical thinking. Excellent and interpretative command of the English language, both written and verbal is required; superior active listening skills are required. Must have strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills, be self-directed and display excellent judgement/decision-making. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and e-mail. Must have demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Must have superior ability to organize and prioritize. Must be flexible and able to meet the demands of changing deadlines. Experience in working in a unionized health care and/or 24/7 environment is required.
