If you are an experienced Production/Warehouse Supervisor looking for a great opportunity to grow, Emerson/Appleton Group Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Elmira (Ontario) location, you will lead the production, warehouse and inventory control team to ensure that performances and production standards are met, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment. You will oversee, monitor and coordinate team activities in the assigned area including job expectations, planning, performance management, on-time delivery, quality control, safety, employee’s development, process improvements, by focusing on individual performance and overall team’s achievement in order to meet production demands. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the motivation, training, and leadership of the production and warehouse team in order to meet and exceed customer requirements, while maximizing quality, proficiencies, throughput, and productivity.

AS A PRODUCTION/WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL:
Direct, measure and report effectiveness of the department activities including planning, monitoring, initiating, coordinating, coaching, counseling, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining H&S compliance with established policies and procedures.
Utilize lean manufacturing tools and principles to enhance productivity and lead collaboration with Manufacturing and Application Engineering, Maintenance, and Planning teams through Continuous Improvement
Be responsible for shop floor H&S procedures and compliance, maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining H&S compliance within established policies and procedures
Oversee and support warehouse functions encompassing: daily workflow, freight carriers scheduling, intercompany shipments, export documentation, back orders, waves, OSP, receiving, RMA, short & overs, carriers management, inventory, issues resolution, inventory/ cycle count management, operating costs, on-time delivery and acts as a liaison with customer service regarding order tracking, changes, expedites, etc.
Manage and sustain production functions across Lighting, Panels, CNC and Assembly using the work order system including: scheduling, resources assignment, work orders priorities, issues resolution, drawings, work instructions, specific training, progress monitoring, on-time completion, standard procedures, testing procedures, time studies, change implementation, out-of-stock situations, quality assurance and control, non-conformances, records keeping,
Perform other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the plant manager

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years previous supervisory experience in a fast pace lean manufacturing set involving both production and warehouse
Relevant post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle ERP system and excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills an ability to plan, set priorities, schedule, monitor on-time completion and achieve production performance objective.
Ability to conceptualize new ideas to improve current processes, to support and create an environment of continuous improvement and efficiency through proven ability to interact positively with co-workers and management
Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Excellent housekeeping throughout the facility
Must be flexible to work extended hours or weekends as requires

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Electrical background or electrical manufacturing environment experience
Good problem-solving skills combined with root cause analysis experience
