Summary of Your Impactful Contribution:

  • To report directly to the Vice President, Sales and Marketing on an on-going basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the business unit within the company.
  • Establish and maintain the Lincoln Electric brand name as the pre-eminent name for welding, cutting and robotics in Canada through the following mediums:

-Canadian marketing department is responsible for the maintenance and advancement of the website associated with Lincoln Electric Canada

-Digital Marketing- Lead digital marketing initiatives to promote Lincoln Electric products to end users in Canada, and coordinate with Lincoln Electric marketing staff worldwide to promote Canadian made products around the world

-These methods include but are not limited to: Digital ads, Google AdWords, promotion pages, social media updates

-Manage Lincoln Electric's relationship with social media influencers in Canada

  • Trade Publications- to choose the most effective publications to maximize brand awareness in the most cost effective way, and to monitor the results of ad campaigns with the chosen publications
  • Publication of technical articles- to write, research and facilitate the creation and placement of technical articles and interviews in industry magazines
  • Tradeshows- manage Lincoln Electric's participation in tradeshows in Canada, measure their effectiveness
  • Distributor Showroom- be responsible for the implementation and distribution of distributor showroom programs, including display stands, new product launches, promotions, Money Matters and End User Rebates, Lincoln Performance Rewards
  • Supervise and participate in the creation of all advertising materials to assure their effectiveness and adherence to established brand strategies
  • Support the VP Sales and Marketing in Quarterly Business Reviews with Canadian Corporate Distributors
  • Support National, District and Internal Departments in the following areas:

-Establish sales promotion programs; communicate these programs to our Sales, Manufacturing and Customer Fulfillment Departments, as well as, to our Distribution Network ( sales management, salespeople, purchasing and warehousing), and ultimately the End User. The Marketing Department accomplishes this through the creation of sales flyers and sales contests; advertising and press release materials for national and regional trade publications, and special events

-Formulate and maintain financial reports on the outcome of the promotions

-Monitor the effectiveness of all advertising venues to judge their overall value, and pass along all resulting sales leads to the sales department

-Provide creative and logistical support for all sales meetings and training on a regional or national level, and District Sales Office initiatives

  • Support the Canadian Manufacturing Departments, including the Aluminum, Automation, and Retail Divisions in the following areas:

-Provide graphics support for new packaging for the Aluminum, Automation, and Retail Divisions.

-Provide market feedback regarding our products, and those of our competitors to help establish competitive pricing

  • Maintain contact with the Marketing Department in Cleveland, utilizing their resources and maintaining continuity in our programs here in Canada. The National Marketing Manager is responsible for guiding and directing the Senior Graphic Designer, Marketing Assistant, and approved outside contractors. This includes establishing design objectives and styles that are to be used for all projects undertaken by this group.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • University Degree in Marketing ( 3-4 year program)
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing
  • Strong knowledge of the Graphics Software ( QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop)
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
