Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Retail Activation is to be a key member of a fully cross functioning high performance team. Responsible for the successful planning and implementation of all marketing programs for the individual concept through a variety of media, promotional, and visual merchandising marketing initiatives. Reporting to the DTC Marketing Manager, contact with the Communications and Purchasing teams will be necessary to coordinate activities in-store to ensure brand strategy and campaigns are fully supported and drive in-store traffic and overall brand sales across all concepts.

Key Responsibilities (Functional):
Build, communicate and execute marketing plans for designated concept stores, including activations, consumer experience, traffic driving, ISC updates, digital marketing – with additional focus on traffic driving and promotional campaigns (FO)
Build, maintain and update seasonal and yearly marketing and promo calendars in accordance with overall DTC marketing calendar and execute each from initial to final production
Build community programs in accordance with Global direction/requirement for BCS doors
Responsible to drive traffic to designated stores, build and work with Digital Brand team to execute and monitor and measure
Finalize and manage MWB for designated doors
Present seasonal plans and calendar to key stakeholders ( Brand Activation, CTC and DTC)
Implement, determine KPI’s and measure all programs
Implement promotional programs when necessary for business
Ensure VM directives are aligned with program plans working closely with VM team
Comprehensive understanding of adidas values and core competencies and how this related to positioning the brand within our own retail environments
Includes managing adaptation of Globally developed creative (where relevant) that is consistent with the creative and visual merchandising direction provided by adidas US and local Communications team
Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with adidas US and Global counterparts; where relevant, provide recommendations to leverage benefits and efficiencies.
Work closely with Communications, Trade Marketing and Agency partners to develop and execute in-store plans and creative strategies to support holistic marketing initiatives.
Manage and work directly with all outside vendors and suppliers, establishing good working relationships. Manage all projects with suppliers, i.e. meeting all deadlines, pricing and budgets constraints, purchase orders and invoices.
Provide monthly updates to DTC team on current programs, upcoming programs and past program measurement (sell through).
Participate in pre-line presentations as required, assisting in presentation development and delivery of each presentations
Develop and provide monthly updates to DTC Manager and communicate and support all designated stores. Be available to answer and support all Store Managers and staff when required

Fiscal Accountability

Monitor budgets by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Track budget against sales trends and forecasts.
Submit monthly budget/latest estimates to DTC Manager for review and approval
Following company policy, prepare all purchase orders prior to completion with all applicable quotes. Continue to track and receive each by company policy and procedures.

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability and willingness to travel
Excellent command of the English language, with excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Exposure to sales would be an asset.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University or College Graduate. Major in marketing preferred
2-3 years’ post-graduate work experience in marketing, visual merchandising, retail or advertising
Experience in managing customers, vendors, external agencies
Experience overseeing creative development and production.
Sporting goods industry knowledge and/or experience an asset
Visual merchandising experience considered an asset
