Job Summary

WE is looking for a dynamic and committed Production Manager to join our Editorial & Storytelling team. Work alongside a dedicated group of experienced journalists producing inspiring and creative content for WE's owned channels and partners. The Production Manager will be responsible for running day-to-day production of content hubs (WE Stories and TYI) and ongoing integrated campaigns, as scheduled by Global Head and Editors. This role also acts to support editors with research, fact-checking and editing. The Production Manager will work under the leadership of Head and Director of Editorial.

Responsibilities and Duties

Build the posts for TYI and on WE Stories
Review all posts for consistency in layout and design before publication.
Assists in editing of posts for WE Stories content hub, e-blasts, and for Track Your Impact partner pages
Manages WE Day content gathering workback, supporting WE Day content gathering in coordinating talent, youth and teacher interviews- Liaison between WE Day, integrated, video, talent.
Responsible for reporting on Integrated Campaigns and TYI partners. (Attend regular marketing/communications meetings during Integrated Campaigns and report back.)
Maintenance check ins with web team – twice weekly
Support story production where shoots (video and photo) are required.
Time manage editorial calendar to align with weekly distribution of stories/videos across owned channels
Build and monitor Storytelling & Editorial Content team (including freelancers) monthly production schedule - including keeping staff on schedule and adjusting when necessary, and scheduling post building to meet deadlines and deliverables
Arrange interviews for TYI partnerships with WE Schools team, informed by staff's individual production schedules.
Provide monthly reports on hub platform performance on WE.org
Create and manage story lead archive including following up with writers after WE Day to collect details on stories gathered, inform future stories for campaigns and partners

Qualifications and Skills

3 years experience in editorial production (digital or print)
Journalism or Communications degree
Experience in a newsroom, fast-paced environment
Proficient in Google Analytics
Project management and video production experience an asset
