Limestone Learning is looking for a Vancouver, BC-based elearning instructional designer and course author who we can count on to create awesome work with great attention to detail, and exceed our clients’ expectations. Does that sound like you?

This role is a project-based contract position. The successful candidate will possess a blend of solid instructional design capabilities, elearning experience, creativity, excellent writing and editing skills, and a strong, dependable work ethic.

Core Responsibilities
Designing and executing on deliverables (instructional design plans, outlines, storyboards, voiceover scripts, course builds, etc.) that align with scope and are realistic, thorough, and complete.
Assessing source materials for each project to understand the core intent, identify gaps, and gather questions.
Working with client and subject matter experts to close content gaps and establish learning architecture.
Bringing each project to life through instructionally sound, creative, and immersive design.
Working with graphic designers to establish appropriate design templates and carrying these through in project builds.
Following company and client processes and standards.
Managing work time effectively, tracking hours and meeting deadlines.
Maintaining a high level of attention to detail: developing materials that are grammatically correct and error-free, listening to and delivering on client’s true needs.
Troubleshooting technical issues related to development tools and content delivery platforms.
Working closely with project managers/team leads to keep them informed regarding project scope and timeline.
Receiving feedback from internal and external sources in a professional manner, and integrating into project deliverables.
Communicating effectively with all project team members.
Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Attending project kick-off meetings and contributing to project planning.
Understanding a project’s scope and budget and ensuring projects you manage adhere to it during development.
Qualifications
Must-haves

Based in the Vancouver, BC area.
Proven track record as a successful elearning instructional designer with the ability to apply instructional design methodologies and approaches appropriately to adult learning projects.
Strong writing and editing skills.
High standard of quality and excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Good sense of visual design.
Intermediate (or higher) course-authoring skills using Articulate Storyline.
Familiarity with SCORM technical standards/publishing and learning management systems.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly as used in the development of instructional content.

Nice-to-haves

Proven ability to develop in other authoring tools, such as Composica, Lectora, Adobe Captivate, and/or Camtasia.
Experience developing other training modalities (e.g., classroom, synchronous online).
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
Familiarity with Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standards for compliance.
Proficiency in project management and project scoping.
Experience managing a team/conducting peer reviews.
French language proficiency.
