Under the supervision of the Program Manager and with the support of the clinical supervisor, the Social Worker III will work independently and as a member of the Didsbury Addiction and Mental Health Community Clinic. You will provide evidence informed assessment, treatment, addiction and mental health interventions, support and follow up to children, families, youth, adults and seniors. You will work from a strength based lens, with the ability to perform the restricted activity of psychosocial interventions to address a full range of presentations. Ideally, you will be comfortable facilitating groups, working closely with wide range of community agencies. As a member of the clinic, you will need to be self-directed, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will also need a demonstrated ability to adapt well to change and have excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
As a Social Worker III, you will perform either advanced level assessment and treatment or act as a clinical lead. You will work with or within teams to provide health care services for patients with complex and multidimensional medical, psychosocial, environmental and instrumental needs. You will provide advanced clinical services, consultation to the interprofessional team and patients/families and supervision of students and team members as assigned. You may also act as clinical lead providing leadership in the planning, development, delivery of services in a specific area, as well as staff development, quality improvement and evaluation or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).
