Reporting to the Manager, Operations Development, this position is responsible for the development of all responses to customer requests for information regarding the total life cycle costs as related to long term contracts, pricing guarantees, fleet availabilities and other requests for the support and maintenance of SMS Sold and Serviced Equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working with the equipment sales group and servicing branches to design packages related to equipment cost per hour, maintenance and repair contracts, and dedicated labour contracts to support newly installed equipment
Auditing and analyzing existing contracts with intent to transfer the learned information to new proposals
Developing new systems, templates and tools to gain efficiency with quoting new proposals
Working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to gain dedicated pricing files and machine parts design files to ensure accuracy at time of quote
Providing recommendations and guidance on maintenance proposals and building complete service support proposals to equipment sales personnel.
This position typically requires formal training or experience in heavy equipment and the maintenance required to support equipment. This position also typically requires a heavy duty red seal, Mechanical Engineering degree, or experience as maintenance planner. Additional qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Ability to oversee and coordinate a diverse equipment operating life cycle cost system
Knowledge of contract documents and specifications, particularly in mining equipment maintenance and operating contracts
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems as related to heavy equipment
Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
Strong working knowledge of computers and applicable software
