Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Mississauga, Ontario Facility.
The primary function of a Financial Planning Analyst is to provide value-added financial planning, analysis and reporting support to multiple Canadian divisions in a multi-company and multi-divisional setting. The incumbent will assist with budgets, forecasts, cost analysis, variance analysis and reporting for multiple divisions.

In this function you will:
Complete balance sheet account reconciliations in a timely manner
Manage and support regular ad-hoc reporting which will include completing daily sales reports, travel and expense tracking, sales, general and admin expense control and other reporting tasks as required
Support for Eaton freight process and Lighting Systems Solutions’ services team.Freight responsibilities to include:
Weekly preparation of freight payment, including review of coding and spend analysis with logistics team
Month-end accrual process, along with appropriate variance analysis and explanation of major variations
Other ad-hoc freight-related projects (quarterly operational reviews, maintain freight matrix, prepare various schedules, attend freight-related meetings, etc.)
Lighting Systems Solutions’ Services support to include:
Maintain and update hours tracker by project on a weekly basis
Attend weekly operational meetings to update forecasts, understand how month will close out, gain knowledge on latest projects, initiatives and changes within team, which will impact results
Assist team with post-mortem analysis after projects are completed
Full month-end profit and loss and forecasting responsibility

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Four-year university degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, and/or Finance
Minimum one (1) year of financial planning and reporting related experience
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 80 kilometers of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada facility will be considered.
Some exposure to month-end/budgeting/forecasting cycles
Experience dealing in a cross-functional environment
3 years of financial planning and reporting related experience
