Human Resources Coordinator (Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA)
Allied Universal is currently seeking a Human Resource Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator will provide HR administrative support for Western Canada. The success candidate will work closely with the Vancouver team while supporting the HR team initiatives.
Provide HR administrative support for Western Canada
Assist with recruiting and onboarding activities such as selection of candidates, preparing materials for new hire and onboarding packages anduniform fittings
Submit, monitor and track background/reference checks for candidates with our third party service provider; manage issues and/or delays in service with the provider.
Ensure the HR policies and processes are being followed
Assist in the preparation of HR related documents, such as offer letters and other correspondence.
Ensure compliance of provincial Employment Standards Act
Maintain employee records
Assist with payroll inquiries
Group benefits administration
Perform confidential investigations as required
Other duties as assigned
3-5 years progressive HR experience in a corporate/office environment
Completion of post-secondary school education in Human Resources Management or related field
Knowledge of local labour and employment laws, including, but not limited to: Employment Standards, Human Rights Code, Labour/Employee Relations.
Strong communication skills
Proficient in all MS Office applications.
Flexible, results oriented and able to deliver to timelines and budgets
Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
Must be a team player, who can also work independently with little direction or supervision and possess ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects
Flexibility and ability to travel periodically/regularly, depending on company needs, with some overnight travel required.
Preference given to those candidates pursuing an HR designation
