Position Title: Regional Sales Manager, Ontario

Team: Commercial Fuels Division

Location: Ontario

Position Summary:
This is a senior management position responsible for the overall coordination, functional management and leadership of sales activities within the Ontario Region. The purpose of this role is to plan and implement sales activities in order to meet divisional targets for retention, growth and profitability. This role reports directly to the General Manager for Ontario. The regional sales team is responsible for driving significant new business through bulk delivered fuel, card-lock, propane, lubricants, and related services. The successful candidate will be a strong leader, great communicator, ideal team player, and have commercial intensity.

Major Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor and motivate our field-based sales representatives, inside sales and key account sales teams. A significant amount of time will be spent in the field coaching, mentoring, and winning new business.
Establishes both market and target customer strategies for the region.
Evaluate opportunities for profitability, capital, ROI and commercial terms
Communicate effectively with operations, finance and back-office support to ensure successful customer onboarding
To directly manage and grow large complex regional based customer accounts
Coordinate marketing activities aligned with the sale’s organizations goals
Maintain market awareness ensuring our competitive position within Parkland
Negotiate contracts and tenders
Accountable for the regions P&L figures and provide consultative advice to key areas for growth in business
Develop a strong relationship with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and loyalty
Work closely with operations and support functions to facilitate and recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements
Responsible for driving continuous improvement in sales process across all channels.
Responsible for the establishment and achievement of annual sales objectives in coordination with the General Manager of Ontario.
Provide regional reporting on sales to management by utilizing the STORM sales process
Responsible to be the liaison with other department support groups such as: credit, operations, marketing and legal.
Works in conjunction with operations to prepare budget and has bottom line accountability for the Region.

Qualifications and Skills:
3-5 years’ experience in a senior sales management role;
Proven expertise in successfully leading, mentoring and motivating a sales team
Excellent customer service skills
Strong understanding of the art of negotiations and profitability analysis processes
Strong analytical skills with ability to competently analyze P&L statements
A motivated self -starter, with good organizational skills
Ability to develop and implement programs
Strong computer skills
Willingness to travel with some overnights will be required
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
