We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Burnaby, BC head office.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to and supporting the Corporate Controller, the Financial Analyst will have an in-depth knowledge of financial policies, processes and controls, and perform external reporting under US GAAP. The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information, and providing data analysis to support in strategic decision making. The Financial Analyst will identify strengths and opportunities for improvement within business processes and the Company’s control framework in order to minimize risk and increase the quality of financial information. In addition, the Financial Analyst will demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.

In this role you’ll:
Consolidate quarterly and annual financial information for purposes of external public reporting in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
Be an agent of change through continuous improvement process
Liaising with external and internal auditors, as well as business leaders in other departments.
Has the right to question and request more info from regional Controllers on their monthly results.
Ability to resolve technical accounting issues ensuring accounting records are in accordance with US GAAP.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines,prioritize tasks accordingly, and meeting the expectations of multiple stakeholders (i.e. external auditors, internal auditors, investor relations, executives, etc.)

Here’s what you bring:
Bachelor degree and CPA designation is required
5-7 years of experience in the finance field is required.
