SUMMARY

Responsible for providing fast and effective cleaning of all kitchen utensils, dishware, glassware and pots while maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen at all times. May assist with food prep.

THE PROPERTY

Located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lake Louise Inn offers 247 guestrooms and suites across 5 buildings on a 9.5-acre property. At Lake Louise Inn you will find Legends Restaurant, Explorers Lounge, Timberwolf Pizza & Pasta Café as well as a heated indoor pool, whirlpools, conference rooms, and a fitness facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all dishes, pots, pans and cutlery, etc. are clean and sanitized
  • Organizing recycling and delivering to appropriate area
  • Ensuring chemicals are fully stocked
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
  • Train new Team Members
  • Use proper chemicals to sanitize items, and always follow WHMIS guidelines
  • Put dishes back in the appropriate place throughout the kitchen and serving areas
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the floors by sweeping, moping and keeping it free of clutter
  • Assist with prep work under the direction and supervision of a qualified cook
  • Clean and organize all related work equipment and areas
  • Responsible for cleaning, stocking and serving staff cafeteria
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of any problems or significant issue
  • Perform other related duties as required by the Executive Chef

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to complete multiple flights of stairs per shift carrying supplies
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment without supervision, independently and as a member of a team
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Must be able to work mornings and evenings

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $17.05 /hour
