Responsibilities will include:

-Utilize results of plant and soil analysis to develop a comprehensive plan for optimum soil and plant health.

-Recommend actions to mitigate losses due to disease and pests.

-Liaise with suppliers, applicators and agronomy laboratories to source cost-effective products and services.

-Implement and manage scouting procedures for weed, insect, disease and nutrition issues.

-Assist with agronomic budgeting and cost monitoring.

-Compile, analyze and interpret data and prepare reports as necessary.

-Advise on irrigation and pesticide application procedures.

-Remain up to date on crop protection and nutrition technology.


-Bachelors’ Degree in Agronomy or related field preferred.

-Willing to learn new skills, attend training and obtain required licenses/certifications.

-Adaptable to changing job requirements and multi-tasking.

-Precision, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.

-Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

-Effective and direct communication skills.
