| Posting Title Work Equipment Heavy Duty Mechanic (Mechanic A) Department Engineering Position Profile A Mechanics perform minor and major repairs, overhauls and servicing of all types of vehicles, vehicle attachments and material handling equipment. ?A ? Mechanic responsibilities include performing minor and major repairs, overhauls and servicing of all types of vehicles, vehicle attachments and material handling equipment, with electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment, lubrication and other vehicle repair equipment. Also must record details on prescribed forms in accordance with established procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Have passed the CN Assessment Examination 2006 Test and be able to operate all types of vehicles and equipment serviced in the garage or in the field. - Have experience in electric and gas welding equipment. - Have a valid Class (5) Driver ?s License and successfully pass a CN Driving Test. - Be in possession of a valid 773-B form (Periodic Medical Examination Card). - Have at least five (5) years experience in the automotive repair trade. - Have his own tool box and basic tools (up to and including 1/2 drive socket set) sufficient to .... |
