| Underwriting Assistant Commercial Lines Job ID: 103528 Location: Vancouver Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Responsibilities To support the underwriting function by processing data, providing efficient broker service, and providing general clerical support. Process new business, endorsements, renewals and simple cancellations within established authority depending on the type of risk. May inquire and amend endorsements and renewals and input new business for policy creation. Assist the Underwriter in obtaining necessary underwriting information and to follow up if needed. Write letters and memos to brokers using System and form letters, at the direction of underwriters. Communicates via e-mail with other departments/branches and brokers. May order inspections to be done on risks when information available warrants, as directed by an Underwriter. Other clerical work as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma. Keyboarding skills.
