| U/W Surety II Job ID: 103468 Location: Vancouver Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Responsibilities The Surety Underwriter position will underwrite both Contract and Commercial Surety bonds. This position will report to the Surety Director and will manage existing underwriting files and liaise with brokers and contractors to ensure files are current and to develop new business opportunities. This position is based in the Vancouver downtown office. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Financial statement analysis as it pertains to contractors Keep up to date with the knowledge of Broker network, commission and rate structures Independently liaise with brokers to obtain or to follow up for outstanding underwriting information; negotiate and/or recommend appropriate course of action on files Review and assess new submissions, recommendations, suggestions or declination of support to brokers Review and analysis of existing files and provide recommendation of limits Prepare Contractor meeting agendas and participation in meetings Independently manage a book of contract accounts Develop broker relationships and marketing strategies to help as.... |
